The 2009 Great Big Dig for the IWK was a huge success! Great music and food, lots of fun and more than $125,000 was raised for the IWK Health Centre.

Todd Bros. Go Camping in Prospect Bay

Went camping with my brothers this is summer...

Verse: Prospect

In another time
we might have been
explorers
like Vespucci
or Denys

I often wonder
what is there
left to discover
we found this
place not with
compass or sextant
but with Google Maps
everything has
been documented
and surveyed
so it seems
but not everything
has been revealed

my younger brothers
the chef
the forestry consultant
and me
ten years
and a day
separate we three
and several thousand
miles now as well
how odd
when there are
so many forests
so close at hand

The Tall Ships Are Coming Back To Halifax

The Tall Ships are coming back for a visit to Halifax and Nova Scotia. The first ships arrive on Thursday, July 16th and there's a full weekend of activities on both sides of the harbour.

And this year - even if you can't make it in person to the waterfront, you can still keep up to date on all the action online and through a variety of social media.
