On January 30th, 2010 - volunteers, musicians, artists, family and friends - came to together for Haligonia 4 Haiti, an Oxfam benefit show and live webathon at the Pogue Fado in Halifax.
$6500 was raised for Oxfam Canada to help in their relief efforts in Haiti, and the entire show (6.5 hours) was streamed live to the web by Haligonia.ca.
The event featured an amazing line-up of 18 bands, musicians and artists, including Remedy, Sons of Maxwell, Three Sheet, Mike Trask, Samba Nova, and Mary Stewart. A full list with links will be up soon.
The broadcast also featured interviews with Oxfam staff, including a special video message from Mark Fried - an Oxfam worker on the ground in Haiti.
